Nazila Satvat, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Satvat received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Ajman University College of Science and Technology in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. She practiced dentistry in Dubai and then spent a year in Sweden and Italy, training and expanding her expertise. Shortly after arriving in the United States, Dr. Satvat attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Aurora, Colorado, and graduated with another Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Some of Dr. Satvat’s passions include art, design, and culture, which is why she views herself as an artist and teeth as her canvas. She is a highly skilled dentist who loves working with children and will do all she can to create a comfortable and happy environment for everyone. Parents and children love her gentle touch and welcoming personality.

Dr. Satvat prides herself in keeping up-to-date with the latest dental advancements with continuous courses at the Los Angeles Institute of Clinical Dentistry in Burbank. She is also a member of the American Association of Dental Consultants, American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association.

Dr. Turkmani Wasim, DDS

General Dentist

Turkmani Wasim is a highly skilled general dentist with special expertise in root canal therapy. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Damascus University in Syria. SInce then he has moved to Redondo Beach, and has been practicing in all areas of general dentistry for more than 20 years.

Dr. Wasim is passionate about creating a safe, enjoyable and comfortable experience with all his patients. He believes that by changing the way patients view their visit to the Dentist office, he can help better their oral habits, and change their lives with a beautiful, happy smile.

In his spare time, Dr. Wasim enjoys being active and outdoors. Activities like hiking, playing tennis or taking long walks at the beach are his favorite. He regularly visits the movie theater and is always on the lookout for a great film!

Dr. Sara Khoshbin, DDS

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Sara is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she earned her DDS degree. She has received multiple awards including membership to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. Dr. Sara was selected to complete her Pediatric dental residency at the USC Specialty Program because of her academic achievements and she is on the medical staff at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Dr. Sara is also certified in Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

She regularly attends professional meetings and continuing education courses to stay on the cutting edge of pediatric dentistry. She is active in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Society to name just a few.

Regarding her practice, Dr. Sara says: “I believe very strongly in the quality of care that your children should receive. I believe that by working together in cooperation with children and parents, most dental disease can be prevented. Our office is a solo private practice, so your loved ones will be seen by the same pediatric dentist every time. My patients, as well as their parents, should always feel that they have been listened to, and that their questions have been addressed with both skill and compassion. In all aspects, I hope that every patient and parent has a positive experience in our office.

Dr. Jeong D. Kim, DDS, MD

Board Certified Maxillofacial Surgeon

Jeong Kim is a graduate of UCLA, DDS & MD awarded, completed a 5 year residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been practicing dentistry for over 18 years of experience specializing in complicated dental surgeries with anesthesia/sedation.

Dr. Kim is an excellent surgeon and brings with him many years of experience and we are proud to have him on our team of specialists.

Dr. Kim is married with children and enjoys outdoor activities and family time.

Dr. Chen janice

Anesthesiologist

Dr. Janice Chen received her DDS Degree from University of California San Francisco. During her dental school education, she was awarded the most prestigious scholarship by the University of California (UC Regent Scholarship). She practiced for five years as a general dentist in the Seattle area before she completed her advanced education in dental anesthesiology at the Loma Linda University.

During her five years of private practice experience, she encountered challenging situations where she recognized the needs for sedation/anesthesia in dental settings.

She is passionate about providing the most comfortable experience for patients with dental phobia, special needs, and young children.

Dr. Janice Chen serves as an assistant professor at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She is active in teaching, research, and training for airway management in dental settings.

She is proudly an active member of:

When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, who is a physician, and her two children. She is also a proud owner of two lovely shelties.

Dr. Anthony Tran

Anesthesiologist

Anthony Tran is a board-certified anesthesiologist who specializes in outpatient surgery centers. He obtained his M.D. at the University of Washington School of Medicine and received his post-graduate anesthesiology training from UW Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. A Seattle native, Dr. Tran moved to sunny southern California with his wife and two kids to get more vitamin D.

Dr. Tran practiced at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center before transitioning to private practice with a focus in outpatient surgery in Orange County. He now regularly provides safe and convenient dental anesthesia for outpatient dental offices and surgery centers with his mobile anesthesia service.

He is a sailing enthusiast and is a certified catamaran skipper along with his wife. In his free time, he plays guitar and piano with friends and occasionally performs in a rock band. His other favorite past time is trying new restaurants, travelling, and spending time with his family, children and friends.

Dr. Kathryn Le

Anesthesiologist

Dr. Kathryn Le is a dual board certified dentist anesthesiologist by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology as well as the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. As a graduate of the dental anesthesiology program at Loma Linda University, her extensive training at the Veterans Affairs Loma Linda Health Care System, Riverside County Regional Medical Center, and Loma Linda Medical Center provided her with invaluable experience in cardiology, internal medicine, and medical anesthesiology. This training allowed her to successfully manage a large variety of complex medical and surgical cases. In addition to her hospital-based experience, she also has considerable experience in providing outpatient ambulatory anesthesia. At Loma Linda University’s Special Care Dentistry Center, a clinic treating approximately 5,000 patients annually, Dr. Le provided general anesthesia for a variety of special needs adult and pediatric patients. Examples include patients with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, and pre-cooperative young children.

Dr. Le is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, the California Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Prior to her training in anesthesiology, she received her bachelor’s in Neurobiology and Behavior from the University of California, Irvine in 2002. During her stay at UCI, she conducted research under the National Institutes of Health. In 2006, she received her doctorate in dental surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was twice awarded the Regents Scholarship, the highest level of recognition within a UC, at both UCI and UCLA. From 2006-2007, she completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. Dr. Le is actively working in her private practice and as an assistant professor at the Loma Linda University Department of Dental Anesthesia.

As a dentist anesthesiologist, she is committed to providing the highest level of comfortable and safe anesthesia for dentistry.

Dr. Mohammad Reshad, DDS, MS

Periodontist

Dr. Mohammad Reshad earned his DDS accreditation from the Azad University of Iran and continued his education by earning a master’s degree with distinction in Restorative & Esthetic Dentistry at Tehran University. Dr. Reshad practiced dentistry and served as a faculty member for several years prior to moving to the United States. He received his Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis training from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. The four-year dual specialty program combines multiple disciplines, making him adept in cosmetic, restorative, periodontics, bone grafting and implant dentistry,all on four and sinus lift. He serviced as a clinical professor in periodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. His hallmark is patient centered care in which understanding their unique concerns and goals are critical to achieving optimal long-term results.

Dr. Sam H. Lee, DMD, MSD

Orthodontist

Dr. Lee is our orthodontist who specializes in the art and science of creating a harmonious relationship between the teeth, the jaws, and the face.

Dr. Lee received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating at the top 5% of his class. He then obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry as well as his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from one of the nation’s most prestigious orthodontics residencies: Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education. At the first opportunity since graduation, Dr. Lee became certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest distinction an orthodontist can achieve.

Dr. Lee has been trained in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults and in the use of conventional braces, esthetic braces, and Invisalign. He has also been trained in the care for patients who need jaw surgeries as well as in the utilization of temporary anchorage devices (TAD’s) also known as miniature screw implants (MSI’s).

The credentials and the proficiencies are, of course, very important in a health care professional in whom you place your trust. But perhaps, what is even more important is that the relationship between you and your doctor is one of mutual respect. When you come see our orthodontist, you can expect to be treated in the way that you want to be treated whether you are 7-years-old or 77.”
